This pad holder is very nice to look at, hold, and smell. (Do you smell good leather like I do?) The leather really is very nice, and that gives this Rx pad holder class on top of protection ability.
It only gets 3 stars, however, because of pad fit. All my Rx pads in the past have been roughly 4.25 by 5.5 inches. My current pad is vertically printed, thus the width of the pasteboard backing to be slid into the holder is wider than the 3.5 inch slot in the holder's vertical use slot. I solved this problem by cutting the pasteboard to fit, but no one should have to cut their pad backings to fit a nice leather holder made, purportedly, to hold an Rx pad vertically as well as horizontally.
I'm keeping the holder, but it would have been nice to have known the slot for vertical keeping was smaller than expected.
Shipping was slow, too, despite being told it was in stock when I called. Several phone calls and about two weeks later it arrived. I will say here I ordered directly from LuggagePoint, thinking it would arrive sooner this way. Next time I'm sticking with Amazon.com.
