5 out of 5 stars Very Convenient   August 19, 2008
Joseph A. Cutolo (Orchard Park, New York United States)
I purchased this a while ago before a trip and couldn't be happier with it. There are a number of card slots and compartments. It is very easy to keep passports, plane tickets, extra cash, a pen, etc. all in one place, so you don't have to fumble around when checking in or moving about the airport. It is small enough to not be cumbersome, but it is big enough that it is not easily "pickpocketed." In my opinion, a handy travel companion.

4 out of 5 stars Victorinox Travell Wallet   April 4, 2008

I bought this for travel in April 2008 and I chose this model as light weight which it is. I think a bit more detailed description is useful for other buyers as you will have to live with it for a long time.

Unit came with hard plastic info tag that says Lifetime Warranty and gives phone number, so presumably when zip gives out you can get it replaced. Outside has 2/3 length slot for ready access to Passport and boarding card and small finger loop at top left. Vertical different material strip is for decoration only. 80% perimeter main zip goes 1 1/4 inch around back at top and bottom so doesn't get caught-stressed when open.

Inside has semi hard thin plastic sheet built into each side to give wallet reasonable rigidity. Left side top 8 slots are all credit card depth, coin zip pouch looks could hold lots of coins or 5-10 keys or small MP3 player and in ear headphones. Left side long zip gives access to single full height pocket. Right side top slot is 1/2 height of wallet behind Victorinox label/badge, width and height fits my standard size Canadian Passport leaving 1/2 inch/1 cm at top visible. Next down slot is also 1/2 height to bottom of unit. Next two down slots are like left side slots, credit card depth. Bottom right see through slot has plastic holder that fits my Texas plastic Drivers License. On right side behind these slots is two open pockets. Middle has pen holder. All zips have small pull tabs. Back has nothing on it.

As other reviewer said the wallet comes with two small loops at top that hard plastic info tag is attached to but no shoulder strap so I cut these two loops off. Build quality is on mine is ~90%, built well, good materials, couple small pinch points in sewing. I chose black but as other reviewer said red stands out better as I have left my old vinyl model behind before, duh!

5 out of 5 stars Everything fits, nicely made and secure   April 29, 2007

I travel a lot. I bought this on a trip as my old leather passport wallet was disintegrating. This is nicely designed, holds passport, tickets, cash, about 7 credit cards/frequent flier cards, pen, and has a zippered see through cash/keys compartment. It zippers closed so nothing can fall out. I got the bright red version to make it less likely that I leave it sitting around at a counter or hotel room. My only gripe is that while it has attachment rings to fit a wrist or neck strap, no strap is provided. Small point as I don't tend to wear these things around my neck anyway. It is a bit thicker than my old leather wallet but it also holds more and holds it more securely. Overall this case looks like it will last for the next 10 years of vigorous use without any problem and it does have a lifetime warranty.

3 out of 5 stars Durable but a bit too bulky   April 11, 2007

Well constructed with a solid feel, lots of compartments and zip closure. Unfortunately, it is bulky and I wound up by something a little thinner that would slide easier into a vest pocket.
